About Sunbaked Lizard Jewellery & Gifts
We’re Sunbaked Lizard — a proudly small, joy-filled jewellery biz run by three friends living in two hemispheres, juggling time zones, packing orders, and sharing terrible memes like clockwork.
Everything we make is about connection, colour and that little thrill of finding something that just feels so you. Think earrings that get compliments. Gifts that make people smile. Pieces you reach for again and again — because they’re not just accessories. They’re a bit of personality you can wear.
☀️ It started with a lizard on a rock…

Sunbaked Lizard was founded in 2018 by Annie, an artistic and animal-loving person from Far North Queensland (and later Bribie Island), who turned her Queensland property into a launchpad for joyful jewellery. While dreaming up designs, she’d watch lizards sunbaking on the rocks in the bushland on her beautiful property — and just like that, the name stuck.
What began as a small side project turned into something bigger: a jewellery brand with personality, heart, and a loyal community that grew around it. Earrings with names. Customers who feel like old friends. A whole little community that grew around colour, kindness and a touch of cheerful energy.
🦡 Then came three mates, two hemispheres, and a whole lot of earrings
In 2025, Annie handed over the reins to us — Tash, AJ and Graham — three longtime friends who instantly fell in love with Sunbaked Lizard.
At the time, we were all based in Sydney — Tash still is — AJ and Graham were in the midst of planning a move to Dublin. What started with a few enthusiastic messages quickly grew into long chats, deep-dive planning sessions, and heartfelt meetings with Annie. It went from "OMG we could" to "OMG we did!" faster than we expected.
We were all looking for something with more heart than our Sydney day jobs — a side hustle with colour, creativity, and community. Sunbaked Lizard felt like the perfect match.
Now, Tash runs the studio and fulfilment from Sydney’s Inner West. AJ looks after operations and all things digital from Dublin. Graham brings the creative magic and leads our wholesale engagement — also from Dublin. And of course, like any small business, we all chip in on everything!
We’re keeping the heart of SBL exactly where Annie left it: fun, real, and proudly personal.

Meet the Team
Tash – Packing queen, practical brain, and wearer of timeless-with-a-twist earrings.
I’ve always loved how a good pair of earrings can lift your whole day — even if it’s a no-makeup, messy-bun, running-late kind of day. My style’s a bit more classic than the other two (looking at you, AJ 😂) — but that doesn’t mean boring. I’m drawn to pieces that are timeless, easy to wear, and still bring a little spark of joy.
I grew up in a small country town in NSW, in the smallest family you could imagine — no siblings, no cousins, not even an aunt or uncle. But I was never lonely or bored. Craft projects kept me entertained for days, and that’s where my love of design began. My love of earrings wasn’t far behind. I was five when I convinced my dad to take me to get my ears pierced (while my mum was away). I picked tiny gold butterfly studs. I was so proud. My mum? Not quite as thrilled.
After 30 years in finance, I went looking for an online business — something practical but creative, with heart and potential. The moment I found Sunbaked Lizard, I knew it was the one. I just needed the right people to do it with — so I roped in two of my favourite humans, AJ and Graham, who had the skills (and the opinions) to help make it work.
These days I run our Sydney studio — packing orders, managing stock, photographing products, wrangling AusPost labels, and keeping the shelves from overflowing. I get excited about good systems, but I also love seeing a piece go from the desk to someone’s lobes — especially when it’s a gift.
This brand is full of heart, and I’m so glad I get to build it with two very important people in my life.
AJ - Digital doer, ops wrangler, and wearer of intentionally mismatched socks (and earrings).
If you’ve ever worn two different earrings just because you felt like it — I see you.
I’ve always been the quirky one in the Sunbaked Lizard crew (and yes, the others say that with love). Rainbow shoelaces, colour-shifting hair, socks that definitely don’t match — it’s not a phase, it’s just how I am. Style should be fun, personal, and a little unexpected — which is exactly what I love about this brand.

My story’s not exactly a straight line: I grew up on the south coast of NSW, studied agriculture, worked on farms in western NSW, then somehow ended up in corporate operations and project management in Sydney. I’ve lived in Melbourne, London, Belfast, and now Dublin — with a travel list longer than most people’s earring collections.
One thing I’ve learned from all that moving around? Sometimes you’ve got to speak like the locals — swap “pants” for “trousers” just to be understood, and accept that not everyone gets Aussie slang. But some habits stick — “arvo” and “how’s it goin?” never left my vocabulary, and honestly, I don’t want them to.
In 2025, after eight amazing years back in Sydney, my husband Graham and I moved to Ireland to be closer to his family. Tash runs the product and packing ops in Sydney, while the two of us work from Dublin. Time zones can be a challenge, but with a very active WhatsApp group and a few good planning tools — it’s working.
This isn’t my first side hustle (there’ve been travel blogs, colourful shoes, even alternative wallets) — but this one? It’s got heart. It’s got meaning. It’s a mix of spreadsheets, earring puns, friendship and potential — and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
Graham - Creative spark, animal enthusiast, and proud maker of koala-themed magic.
Originally from Belfast, I spent eight years living in Australia — most of it working at Sydney’s best zoo, where I made lifelong friends (some human, some animal, and one particularly charismatic Eastern Bongo named Akundoo).
While I was there, I was always hunting for small Aussie-themed gifts to send back to friends and family. Earrings quickly became my go-to — fun, personal, and suitcase-friendly. Anything with a cockatoo, a kangaroo, or a cheeky splash of Australiana? Even better.

Now I live in Dublin with my husband AJ — which means two-thirds of the SBL team now runs on Irish tea and dodgy time zones. I head up product design, look after wholesale, and create custom pieces for our brilliant stockists. I also make up important-sounding job titles for myself (current favourite: "Creative Director and Lead Product Developer").
My style leans classic, but I’ve got a soft spot for the slightly ridiculous. If you spot any designs of a platypus doing something questionable or a kookaburra in sunnies, chances are I had something to do with it.
Let’s just say I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with Aussie wildlife — especially the feathered kind. I’ve lost multiple lunches to swooping magpies and kookaburras, and once had a full-blown tug-of-war with an ibis who refused to let go of my sandwich. Technically, I won… but the sandwich didn’t survive. Worth it.
This brand is full of heart, and I’m proud to bring a little Aussie magic to it from the other side of the world.
